It originally came out in Japan during the early 1980s, though the exact year and developer are not widely documented. This is a relatively obscure entry in the MSX library, known mainly among collectors of Japanese computer games.
GAME INFO
How to play Nyannyan Pro Wrestling online
When you first boot up Nyannyan Pro Wrestling, you are likely faced with a title screen in Japanese. The menus are entirely in Japanese, so navigation may require some trial and error. Typically, pressing Start or Confirm will advance through menus. Look for options like 1P (one player) or 2P (two player) - the kanji for player is プレイヤー but often abbreviated.
The core loop involves selecting a wrestler and then competing in a match against either the computer or a second player. Matches are simple: move your wrestler with the D-Pad, use the A button (X key) for jumping or confirming, and the B button (S key) for attacks. The goal is to deplete the opponent's health and pin them for a three-count. Timing is important for reversals and getting up after being knocked down. Experiment with the buttons to discover special moves, as documentation is scarce.
