Prince of Persia on Game Boy Color is a portable adaptation of Jordan Mechner's groundbreaking 1989 platformer. The core concept stays intact: you play as the Prince, framed by the evil Vizier, and must escape the dungeon level by level within sixty minutes.

You control the Prince through a series of interconnected rooms and corridors. Each level is a maze of platforms, spikes, collapsing floors, and pressure plates. You need to time your jumps carefully, grab onto ledges, and push through heavy gates. Along the way you'll encounter sword-wielding guards; a quick tap of the attack button can disarm them, but you can also run past. Finding health potions and hidden areas is key to survival.

This GBC version is an impressively faithful port of a classic, especially given the small screen and limited color palette. It retains the smooth rotoscoped animation that made the original famous, and the tension of the one-hour time limit translates well to portable play.
