Getting Started

When you boot up Dino Breeder 3, you will be greeted by a title screen in Japanese. Start a new game by confirming with the X key. You will likely be prompted to name your character and optionally choose a starting dinosaur egg. The core loop involves feeding, cleaning, and training your dinosaur to keep it healthy and strong. Your dinosaur will grow over time and can participate in battles or competitions to earn rewards.

Since the game is entirely in Japanese, memorizing menu positions is helpful. The top option is usually "New Game," and the bottom is "Continue" if a save file exists. During gameplay, the main menu is accessed with the Start button. Use the D-Pad to navigate and X to confirm. Pay attention to the dinosaur's status icons: a heart for health, a meat icon for hunger, and a skull for fatigue. Keep all bars in the green zone to avoid your dinosaur falling ill.

Exploring different areas on the map lets you find items, battle wild dinosaurs, or discover new eggs. Battles are turn-based where you select commands like Attack, Defend, or Use Item. Winning battles boosts your dinosaur's stats and can unlock new skills. The game also features a day/night cycle and weather effects that influence your dinosaur's mood. Save your progress often using the in-game save option, which is typically found in the main menu's second or third tab.
