Getting Started

When you first launch the game, you will be greeted with a title screen and a menu in Japanese. Press Start to proceed, then use the D-Pad to navigate and X to select an option. The main menu likely offers puzzle packs or a tutorial. Since the text is all in Japanese, look for numbers or grid icons to identify puzzle selections. The core gameplay is classic nonogram: you have a grid with number clues along the top and left edges. Each number tells you how many consecutive filled cells appear in that row or column, separated by at least one empty space.

Use the D-Pad to move the cursor across the grid. Press X (A button) to fill a cell, and press S (B button) to mark an empty cell with an X. The goal is to fill in all correct cells to reveal a hidden pixel picture. There is no time pressure, so you can take your time working through the logic. If you mark a wrong cell, the game may indicate a mistake either immediately or when you try to complete the puzzle. Most WonderSwan puzzle games allow you to undo moves by pressing the Y button or using a menu option, but the exact button mapping may vary. Experiment cautiously, and save your progress if the game supports it via the battery save feature.

Because the game is entirely in Japanese, beginners may need to rely on memory or trial-and-error to navigate menus.
