Getting Started

You control Takahashi Meijin as he runs and jumps across side-scrolling levels. The goal is to reach the end of each stage while collecting fruit and other items to keep your health meter from depleting. Enemies and obstacles must be avoided or defeated by throwing your signature weapon, usually a stone axe.

The game follows the classic Adventure Island formula: each level is timed, and you must gather food items to prevent yourself from starving. Hidden power-ups like shoes for speed or axes for ranged attacks are scattered throughout. Since this is a Japanese release, the menus are in Japanese, but the interface is straightforward - select a stage from the world map and go. The core loop is clear: survive the level, beat the boss, and move on.
