About Super Star Soldier (USA)
Super Star Soldier is a vertical-scrolling shooter that came out for the NEC TurboGrafx-16 in the early 1990s. Hudson Soft developed it, and it was published in North America by NEC Technologies as part of the Soldier series. This USA version retains the core gameplay but features some minor differences from the Japanese PC Engine original, like altered difficulty and enemy placement.
How to Play Super Star Soldier (USA) Online
Press X (A button) to fire your main weapon. Use the arrow keys to move your ship around the screen. Z and A switch between your selected secondary weapons. Enter starts the game and pauses during play. Select toggles the weapon display.
Select a stage from the title screen using arrow keys and press Enter. Your ship automatically moves upward through scrolling levels. Dodge bullets and enemy ships while collecting power-up capsules. Each icon type corresponds to a different weapon upgrade - learn which ones suit your playstyle. The game continues until all lives are lost, and you cannot continue from where you died unless you use a continue option.
