Getting Started

When you start the game, you'll see a title screen in Japanese. Press Enter or the Start button (keyboard Enter) to proceed. You'll be taken to a menu where you can select to start a new game or possibly see options. Since the text is in Japanese, just press the confirm button (X) on the first option - usually that starts a new game. The game begins with Sindibad appearing at the left side of the first level. Your objective is to reach the end of the stage by moving right and exploring the labyrinth.

The core gameplay involves walking, jumping, and attacking. Use the D-pad (arrow keys) to move left/right and crouch. Press X to jump over pits and onto platforms. Press S to use your weapon - a sword or similar melee attack - to defeat enemies. Collect gems and other items by walking over them. Some doors may require a key, which you find hidden in the stage. The game scrolls automatically as you progress, so keep moving or risk being pushed into traps. Defeating a boss at the end of the level opens the path forward.

New players should be aware that the game is in full Japanese, so menus and item names are not readable. However, the gameplay is simple enough that you can figure out what to do by trial and error. If you get stuck, try exploring every path and hitting suspicious walls - some may hide secrets. The difficulty is moderate; you have a health bar that depletes when enemies hit you. Look for floating health items to recover. Overall, just remember: move right, attack enemies, and find the exit.
