Play as Snifit is a fan-made hack for the Nintendo 64, allowing players to step into the shoes of the iconic Snifit character from the Mario franchise. Released in an era when platforming games were at their peak, this title embraces the whimsical and colorful aesthetic typical of 90s games. While the original Snifit first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2, this hack gives players a unique chance to experience gameplay through this character on the N64 platform. In this game, players navigate through various levels, using Snifit's unique abilities to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies. The gameplay primarily revolves around platforming mechanics, where timing and precision are crucial. Players will find themselves jumping between platforms, dodging hazards, and utilizing Snifit's unique attacks to progress through each stage, reminiscent of the classic platforming genre conventions of its time. What makes Play as Snifit worth trying today is its nostalgic charm and the opportunity to experience a lesser-known character in a familiar gameplay style. While it may not have the same polish as mainstream titles, it offers a unique perspective for fans of the Mario universe and those who enjoy exploring fan-made content. This hack serves as a reminder of the creativity within the retro gaming community, making it a fun, albeit niche, title for dedicated enthusiasts to explore.
