Section 2 - Getting Started
When you start the game, you are given a brief story intro then placed on the first battle map. The objective is to defeat all enemies or rout the boss. Use the D-Pad to move the cursor over your units, then press X to select them. A menu appears with options like Move, Attack, Magic, and Item. Each unit has a movement range shown in blue; press X to confirm movement, then choose an action.
The core loop is battle then town. After each victory, you return to a hub area where you can buy weapons, heal, and talk to villagers to advance the plot. Talk to everyone to find hints and recruit new characters. Managing your party's equipment and spells is key because enemies get tougher. Save often using the V (Select) button on the world map to open the save menu.
Battles are turn-based with player and enemy phases. Terrain like forests and mountains affect movement and defense. Magic users are powerful but fragile.
