Loaded

Loaded (USA) is a run and gun game developed by Gremlin Interactive and released on the PlayStation PSX platform. It debuted in the mid-1990s, a time when the gaming landscape was increasingly dominated by titles that combined fast-paced action with colorful graphics. The game is notable for its over-the-top violence and cartoonish art style, which was a signature of many games during this era, aiming to appeal to a more mature audience while still retaining a sense of humor. In Loaded, players control one of several characters, each with unique weapons and abilities, as they navigate through various levels filled with enemies. The gameplay is characterized by its top-down perspective, allowing for a broad view of the action. Players engage in frantic shooting, utilizing a variety of weapons to eliminate foes while dodging attacks and managing their health. The game encourages strategic use of each character's strengths and offers a cooperative multiplayer mode, enhancing the chaotic fun. This title is worth trying today for its nostalgic value and its representation of the run and gun genre at the time. While it may not be as polished as some of its contemporaries, Loaded provides a unique blend of humor and action that can be entertaining for players looking for a retro experience. It holds a special place in the library of PSX games, showcasing the experimental nature of 90s titles that sought to push boundaries in gameplay and presentation.
