Start the game by pressing Enter on the title screen. You will see a field or town - your first goal is to talk to villagers (press S near them) to get clues, then venture into dungeons. Use the arrow keys to move, X to swing your sword or confirm selections, and S to use items or cancel. The game is entirely in Japanese, so you may need to experiment or look up a translation guide for key commands.

The core loop is classic action RPG: explore the overworld, enter a dungeon, defeat enemies, find keys and a boss room, then defeat the boss to obtain a new ability or item. You gain experience points by defeating enemies, which levels up your character's health and strength. You can also find gold to buy equipment in towns. Saving progress requires writing down a password shown at certain checkpoints - there is no battery backup.

Remember that Famicom Disk System games often require a second floppy side for more content; if the emulator prompts you to flip the disk, press a designated key (often F2 or mapped to a shoulder button) to proceed.
