Shin Megami Tensei is an RPG for Super NES, developed and published by Atlus and released in Japan on October 30, 1992. It uses first-person dungeon navigation and turn-based battles against demons. Demons can be recruited as allies by talking to them rather than fighting them, and two to three demons can be fused to create new demons.
What makes it different
- The game follows a young man who must prove himself a hero after a demonic gate opens in Tokyo and the city undergoes nuclear destruction.
- It is the third game in the Megami Tensei series and the first in the central Shin Megami Tensei series.
