Getting Started

Stormlord is a side-scrolling platformer where you guide a warrior through fantasy-themed levels. Your main goals are to avoid hazards, defeat enemies that appear, and reach the end of each stage. The core loop involves moving right, jumping across gaps and over obstacles, and occasionally attacking foes with your weapon. The game keeps things simple - no complex item management or branching paths.

Since this is the Japanese release, all on-screen text and menu options are in Japanese. The title screen offers a "Start" option (often the first selection), and gameplay begins immediately. If you see a configuration screen, pressing Start or Button A usually confirms and advances. For a first playthrough, just press Start to jump into the action.

Enemies usually move in predictable patterns, so learning their timing helps. The warrior can only take so many hits before losing a life, so avoid contact where possible. Checkpoints are not present in the original design, so a death means restarting from the beginning of the level. Keep moving and look out for hidden power-ups or extra lives, though the game is straightforward about what you see on screen.
