Getting Started
When you load Sonic Encore (early development version), the game boots directly into a modified version of Sonic the Hedgehog. You control Sonic by moving with the D-Pad (Arrow Keys) and jumping with the A button (X key). The goal for each act is to reach the end signpost, collecting rings and avoiding enemies along the way. This early build features altered level layouts and some new enemy placements compared to the original game.
There is no save feature, so you must complete the game in one sitting or use emulator save states. Menus are in English, and the gameplay loop is the same as classic Sonic: run fast, jump on badniks, and gather rings for protection. If you take a hit while carrying rings, they scatter; collect some quickly to restore your shield. Watch out for pits and spikes, as losing all rings means one more hit destroys you.
This version is an early development build, so it may contain glitches or unfinished sections. Experiment with the altered levels to see how the hack evolved. The core mechanics remain faithful to the original Sonic experience, making it easy for anyone familiar with the series to jump right in.
