Shining Force (USA) (Beta)

Getting started - When you boot the beta, you will see a title screen. Press Start to begin a new game. The game opens with a brief story intro asking you to save the land of Rune from the evil Darksol. After the text scroll, you are placed in the central town of Guardiana. Walk around using the D-Pad and talk to townsfolk by pressing the A button (X on keyboard) to gather clues and items.

Your first real objective is to recruit party members and then head to the battle grid. The core loop involves moving your units on a square map, selecting actions like Attack, Magic, or Item from a menu, and defeating all enemies to clear the stage. Between battles, you can visit shops to buy weapons and healing items. The beta may have different stats or encounter rates than the final game, so expect some rough edges. Save often using the in-game save option if available - betas sometimes lack a save feature, so test cautiously.
