Lethal Enforcers (Japan)
About Lethal Enforcers (Japan)
Lethal Enforcers is a light-gun arcade port that landed on the SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive) in Japan, bringing the arcade's cop-versus-criminals action home. Developed and published by Konami, this version released alongside the North American and European editions in the early 1990s. It's a straightforward rail shooter, designed primarily for use with the SEGA Menacer light gun, but also playable with a standard controller.
How to Play Lethal Enforcers (Japan) Online
Getting Started
When you start the game, you see a menu in Japanese - the title screen shows "Lethal Enforcers" and a Konami logo. Press Start to proceed. The game then asks you to select a difficulty level (represented by stars or numbers). Use the D-Pad to choose and press the A button (X on keyboard) to confirm. In some versions, you can also pick between a light gun or controller control scheme.
Once in the game, your character automatically moves forward through a city street while armed criminals appear from windows, cars, and alleys. Your goal is to shoot only the bad guys - hitting innocent bystanders costs you lives. The core loop involves shooting enemies as they pop up, reloading by aiming off screen (or pressing a button), and surviving each stage. The game ends when you run out of lives, but you can continue by pressing Start on the game over screen.
Because this is the Japanese release, all text is in Japanese. However, the gameplay is entirely visual and the controls are the same as other versions. If you are using a keyboard with the provided mapping, treat the X key as your primary action and the arrow keys to move the crosshair. The Select key (V) may bring up a pause or options screen in some builds.
