Poker Faced Paul's Gin (USA, Europe)

Select a game mode from the title screen - typically a one‑player match against a computer opponent or a two‑player local game. You are dealt ten cards. The goal is to form melds (sets of three or four cards of the same rank, or runs of three or more in the same suit) and to minimize unmatched cards, known as deadwood. On your turn, draw a card from the stock or the discard pile, then discard one card face up. You may knock (end the round) when your deadwood count is ten or lower, or go gin (zero deadwood) for a bonus. The computer opponent follows standard gin rummy rules. To select an action, use the D‑Pad to highlight a card and press the appropriate button. The core loop consists of drawing, melding, discarding, and eventually knocking to score points over multiple rounds. There are no save slots - each session runs as a single game or a best‑of series without persistence.
