Getting Started

Start by selecting a team from the J.League lineup; the interface uses Japanese text, so look for team names in kanji or katakana if you are not familiar with the language. The core loop is standard soccer: you control one player at a time, pass to teammates, dribble toward the opponent's goal, and shoot to score. Defense involves tackling or intercepting passes, while the AI controls your other players.

Matches play out in two halves with a countdown timer. Pay attention to the player stamina indicator, as fatigue affects speed and accuracy. Substitutions can be made during stoppages. Winning matches earns points toward the league standings. If you don't read Japanese, experiment with menu options by trial and error - the structure is similar to other sports games of the era.
