Persona 2 - Innocent Sin [En by Gemini v1.0a] is a fan translation of the classic role-playing game originally released for the PlayStation in 1999. Developed by Atlus, this game belongs to the Persona series, a sub-series of the larger Shin Megami Tensei franchise. The translation by Gemini allows English-speaking players to experience this beloved title, which was only officially available in Japanese until now. In this game, players take on the role of a high school student who becomes involved in a supernatural mystery. The gameplay revolves around traditional RPG mechanics, including turn-based battles and character development. Players explore various environments, engage in social interactions, and summon demons to aid in combat. The narrative unfolds as players make choices that affect the story and character relationships, a hallmark of the Persona series. What makes Persona 2 - Innocent Sin worth trying today is its unique blend of social simulation and RPG elements, which was quite innovative for its time. While it may not have the same level of recognition as other titles in the series, it offers a rich narrative and deep character development that fans of the genre appreciate. The game holds a special place in retro gaming history, particularly for those interested in the evolution of storytelling in video games during the late 90s.
