Front Mission 3 is a tactical role-playing game developed by Square and released on the PlayStation in 1999. This title is part of the Front Mission series, which is known for its complex narratives and mech-based combat. The game features a blend of strategy and RPG elements, making it a notable entry during the PSX era. In Front Mission 3, players engage in turn-based combat using customizable mechs called Wanzers. The gameplay involves strategic planning, where players must consider terrain, mech parts, and the abilities of their opponents. Players can choose different paths and make decisions that affect the story, leading to multiple endings based on their choices throughout the game. This title remains worth exploring for fans of tactical RPGs and those interested in mech combat. While the graphics may seem dated by today's standards, the depth of strategy and narrative complexity holds up well. Compared to other games of its time, like XCOM or Fire Emblem, Front Mission 3 offers a unique experience with its emphasis on mech customization and branching storylines.
