About Ghosts'N Goblins Easy

Unofficial ROM hack. The notes below come from community sources and have not been verified against the patch itself, so levels, mechanics and features may differ from what is described.

Ghosts'N Goblins Easy is a modified version of the classic action platformer originally developed by Capcom. Released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, this title serves as a more accessible version of the notoriously difficult Ghosts'N Goblins series. While the original game is well-known for its punishing gameplay, this easier variant aims to provide a more forgiving experience, making it ideal for newcomers to the franchise or those seeking a less challenging adventure. In this game, players control the knight Arthur as he battles through various levels filled with enemies, traps, and bosses. The core mechanics involve platforming, jumping, and attacking foes, with players collecting weapons and power-ups along the way. The game maintains the side-scrolling structure typical of the era, allowing players to traverse through distinct environments while facing waves of undead creatures and other supernatural foes, all while aiming to rescue the princess from the clutches of evil. Ghosts'N Goblins Easy is worth trying for those who appreciate retro gaming or want a taste of the classic action platformer genre without the frustration of its original counterpart. While it may not offer the same level of challenge, it provides a nostalgic experience and serves as an entry point for players unfamiliar with the series. In comparison to other platformers of its time, this title stands out for its charm and simpler gameplay, making it a fun addition to any retro gaming library.
