Getting Started

You control Simba as he explores side-scrolling levels inspired by the movie. Jump on platforms, defeat hyenas and other enemies by rolling or roaring, and collect bugs and fruits to restore health. Each level has a specific goal, like reaching the end or collecting a certain number of items, and some stages feature different perspectives, such as gliding with Zazu or escaping through the jungle.

Pay attention to the German text in menus and cutscenes. The main menu offers options for starting a new game, continuing, and selecting levels after they are unlocked. The game uses a lives system, and extra lives can be found by collecting five hidden golden letters in each stage. If you get stuck, try exploring every direction since some paths are hidden behind foliage or require a specific ability.

The core loop involves moving left to right, avoiding obstacles, and occasionally solving simple puzzles like pushing rocks or activating switches. Boss fights appear at the end of some worlds, usually against Scar or one of his hyena minions. There is no in-game map, so memorizing level layouts helps with replaying for high scores or collectibles.
