Getting started is straightforward. After the title screen, you'll likely be prompted to select a course or start a game. The D-pad controls aiming direction, and you'll press the A button (X key) to start your swing. A power meter appears - press A again to set power, and sometimes a third press for accuracy or spin. The goal is to sink the ball in as few strokes as possible.

Each hole has obstacles like ramps, windmills, and bunkers. You can preview the hole layout before your shot. The game keeps score for up to four players, taking turns. If you miss, you'll just try again from the same spot. There's no time pressure, so take your time reading the green.

The core loop is simple: pick a club (if available), aim, set power, watch the ball roll. If you hit a hazard, you may need to play from a penalty spot. The Lynx's screen is bright and colorful, so the course graphics hold up reasonably well. Just keep putting until you get the hang of the meter timing.
