You pilot a giant mech called an Iron Soldier, working for an elite defense force protecting the United Republic. The story picks up after the first game, with your mission to stop PENTA, a rival corporation trying to take over former Iron Fist territory. You'll be dropped into open environments with various objectives - destroy enemy tanks, aircraft, and bases, while managing your mech's energy and ammunition.
The core loop involves moving through mission areas, using the D-pad to steer and the shoulder buttons to look around or target enemies. You have a limited arsenal, so conserve ammo and pick up supplies when possible. The game features a first-person view for aiming and a third-person view for navigation.
