One-on-One Basketball (USA)

Getting started: Fire up the game and you'll see a title screen. Press Start to advance to the mode selection. You can choose to play solo against the computer or face a second player. Once the match begins, you control a single basketball player on a half‑court. The goal is simple: outscore your opponent by putting the ball through your basket while preventing them from doing the same.

Move your player with the Arrow Keys. Use X to jump - this helps you grab rebounds or block shots. S is your action button; in most scenarios it lets you attempt a steal when the opponent has the ball or shoot when you have it. Dribbling happens automatically as you move. There's no shot clock, so you can play patiently. The game ends after a set period (usually a few minutes). Pay attention to the ball possession indicator and try to get open for a clean shot. If you're playing two‑player, it's a direct head‑to‑head battle - no AI interference.
