This is an alternate version of B-Wings, a vertically scrolling shooter that Data East dropped into arcades back in 1984. Data East was known for quirky arcade games in the early 80s, and B-Wings was their first home console release when it hit the Famicom two years later, but this ROM represents the arcade source code with possible tweaks.

You pilot a fighter plane that scrolls upward automatically. The main twist is a power-up system where you collect wing icons - adding wings to your ship changes your shot pattern and damage output. Different wing configurations let you spray bullets wide, fire straight ahead, or even shoot backward.
