Metal Head (Europe) (En,Ja)
Inside Metal Head (Europe) (En,Ja)
Metal Head is a first-person mech shooter that landed on the SEGA 32X in 1995. It was released in Europe (with English and Japanese language options) and also saw a Japanese release. The 32X, an add-on for the Genesis/Mega Drive, aimed to deliver 32-bit visuals and smoother gameplay, and Metal Head was one of the machine's more ambitious titles. Developed and published by Sega, it dropped players into a gritty sci-fi setting where you pilot a giant combat robot - the titular Metal Head - in a bid to stop an invading alien force.
How to Play Metal Head (Europe) (En,Ja) Online
Getting started: When you boot up Metal Head, you'll first see a brief intro screen then a menu. Use the D-Pad to navigate and press Enter to start a new game. You can also select options like sound test or language. The core of Metal Head is moving your mech through open environments and shooting down enemy robots, tanks, and turrets. Your view is from inside the cockpit, and you move with the D-Pad while aiming and firing with the shoulder buttons. Pay attention to your health bar and ammo count - collect power-ups that enemies drop to replenish both. The game is divided into missions, and you'll need to destroy all targets in an area before moving on. Watch out for faster enemies that charge at you, and try to strafe (move sideways) to avoid incoming fire.
