The player controls Yoshi as he carries Baby Mario through a series of levels, using his tongue to swallow enemies and turn them into eggs. Start the game by selecting a save file from the title screen. Yoshi's Island DS opens with a brief story intro, then drops you into World 1. Touch the screen to aim eggs or tap enemies to stun them - though all actions can also be performed with buttons.
The game uses the DS dual screens: the top screen shows the main action, while the bottom screen displays the item inventory and touch controls. You can switch between babies by tapping their icons. Each baby grants a unique power (e.g., Baby Mario runs faster, Baby Peach floats). The level timer is generous, so take your time to explore. If Yoshi gets hit, Baby Mario floats away in a bubble - catch him before time runs out or lose a life.
Because this is the Korean version, menus and text are in Korean. However, the interface is intuitive enough that you can navigate by trial and error.
