Swing
Swing Overview
Swing is a puzzle game that originally launched in 1997 for the PlayStation and PC, developed by the German studio Software 2000. It was later released in North America under the title Marble Master. This particular version, found on the MSX 1, appears to be a fan-made port or a demake of that original title. The MSX 1 was an early 8-bit home computer standard from the 1980s, so seeing a game from the late 90s on it is unusual, likely the work of retro enthusiasts bringing the gameplay to more limited hardware.

Getting Started
Swing is a marble-rolling puzzle game. You guide a ball through a series of tilting mazes, avoiding gaps and obstacles while collecting stars or orbs to open the exit. The core objective is to reach the level's goal without falling off the edge. On the MSX 1 version, the controls mimic the original's simple directional movement. Use the arrow keys to roll the ball, and if your version includes a jump or action button (X), it might be used for bumping mechanisms or interacting with switches.
The game presents a top-down view of each maze. Speed and precision matter because the ball has momentum, and sudden stops can send it over the side. Later levels introduce moving platforms, teleporters, and enemy balls that disrupt your path. If you miss a collectible or fall, you restart the level. There is no health bar; one mistake often sends you back to the start. This MSX port likely retains the original level set but may have simplified graphics to fit the hardware.
