Getting Started: In Aerial Assault, you pilot a fighter jet through horizontally scrolling stages, shooting down enemy aircraft and ground targets while avoiding return fire. The core loop is straightforward: move with the D-Pad, press the attack button to fire your weapon, and dodge incoming bullets and obstacles. Power-ups appear as floating icons - collect them to upgrade your firepower or add screen-clearing bombs.

Since this is a Japanese version, the title screen and menus are entirely in Japanese. However, the interface is minimal: you will likely see a "START" option in English or a simple kanji prompt for starting the game. If you encounter a menu, pressing the Start button usually begins the action. The game does not have complex options, so you can jump right in even without reading the language.

New players should focus on learning enemy patterns and the timing of power-up spawns. The difficulty ramps up quickly, so memorizing stage layouts helps. Use bomb items wisely when surrounded.
